Rahel Woldemichael is chairwoman of the association Desert Rose e.V. She works as a lawyer and privately engages herself in organ and human trafficking in the Sinai. She stays in touch with the association’s partner organizations in Israel by regular visits.

Bisrat Kiefle is a founding member of Desert Rose e.V. She is a trained tourism businesswoman and a manager of sports events. She has traced the happenings on the Sinai Peninsula since 2010 intensively and had personal contact to a 15-year-old who had been kidnapped to the Sinai on his way to school in Shegereab, Sudan. bisrat.k@desertrose.info

Feven M. is a founding member of Desert Rose e.V. For several years she has been working for Caritas international and has been committing herself to the victims of human trafficking in the Sinai. She also started the Facebook group „Freiheit für afrikanische Geiseln in Ägypten“ (Let my people go! Freedom for African slaves in Egypt!)

Lucia Heisterkamp is a member of Desert Rose e. V. since sommer of 2015. She is studying Peace and Conflict Studies in Marburg and within the context of a project she did a research about Human Trafficking together with victims of Sinai torture in Tel Aviv in August 2015.

Ingo Steidl is a member of Desert Rose e.V. since the end of 2013. His regular occupation is working as an online fundraiser at Caritas international. He took notice of human trafficking in the Sinai by experience reports in his set of acquaintances. Initially, he joined the Facebook group „Freiheit für afrikanische Geiseln in Ägypten“ before joining the association.
